Found object assemblage created from salvaged car panels from a mid-2000s performance vehicle. In marker, children's handwriting covers the car paint of the doors and quarter panels. A father above the Ohio River Valley uses scrap vehicles in his yard to teach his two sons to read and write. This project tells the story of this hardworking family balancing the needs of their children and the demands of parenthood.
This sculpture was on display at Brooklyn Waterfront Artist Coalition in Red Hook during Summer 2025.
Special acknowledgement goes out to the Tressler family for assisting in the creation of this project.
