"A few years ago, I was feeling inundated with data and research around what was WRONG with our education system. I felt like there were lots of well-researched problems with very few researched solutions. It was overwhelming. I wanted to somehow quantify, as data quantifies, that feeling of anxiety: knowing so much is wrong in the bigger picture we still execute on the small things we know are right.
This work is the second of two that I've created using the theme of standardized testing. Using this imagery seemed to offer a perfect unison of these ideas: data, excess, and the nagging feeling of having no control over things have a large impact on the future."
