"This artwork went through a few renditions of titles it before I landed on 'The Hot Seat'. 'Anxiety Before the Bell Rings' and ''Our Friend' Sits There' were both contenders. I feel that it is strongly important that we place ourselves back at the ages of our students and children and try to remember and understand. A lot of my art practice is about this because it makes me a better teacher. Enough said. This project for the wiggly ones, the knee bouncers, the chatty Kathys, the squirmers, the cowerers, the doodlers, the hot heads, the bullies and the bullied. And we've all been there at some point."
