The .38 Special revolver is the most commonly used gun in homicides in the United States. In addition to being concealable, the weapon itself is cheap and its ammunition is easy to find.
This work marked the beginning of a heavy emphasis on gel image transfers to get a paper-like texture to the image that I was placing on the panels. I felt like the image transfer created the photocopy effect very well; something that was familiar to youth in underserved schools. It also made a somewhat damaged surface which added variety to any other materials that were added to the work.
